Sngl. Poem by Kathryn L. Smalley

Sngl.

A single smile
A certain look
The way you felt inside

A single drop
A single tear
And then you want to die

The talking
And the laughing
And being all wide-eyed

The lying
and the loneliness
That always makes you cry

The way you looked
Upon their arm
That filled you up with pride

The single time
They stood you up
And just set you aside.

Isolated.
Lonely.
You have been denied

A single smile
A certain look
The way you feel inside

A single drop
A single tear
And then you want to die
