Slumdog Billionaire.. Poem by TheBigThinkg Human

Slumdog Billionaire..

/* Some thoughts on Slumdogs in our mind */

Lost in the wilderness, their sullen spirit
Suppressed and Surpassed in their grit
Covered, Clouded by eons of dirt
They decay deep inside us bit by bit!

Barricaded somewhere at the bottom of a neuron ditch
Blinded by our own thoughts that stitch
An imprisoning wall all around their pitch
They brood in the darkness to break the hitch

‘Self-Confidence’, a scared out slum-dog!
‘Scientific temperament’, a sleeping slum-dog!
‘Perseverance’, a poverty-stricken slum-dog!
‘Resilience’, a tormented slum-dog!

These blind dogs of the sub-continent slum
Roam around with their mouth shut mum
Ask silent Questions; No answers come
Loiter in our minds for their freedom!

Cost of their freedom, our mental stress!
Price of their freedom, our progress!
Margins in it can make billions of lives!
Critical self questioning brings them to light!

Slum-dogs of so many colors and hues
Wait for your Questions to come out of their blues!
O, People of the sub-continent glue
Liberate the slum-dogs in your mental hub

Let our nation be the liberated slum-dogs Billionaire Club!
Believing not on some other’s praise
Relying on our inner mind’s prowess
Raise, Raise and Stop not our progress

Till the world’s standards are set by us!
