Slowly Poem by George Bernard Hough

Slowly

Rating: 4.0

Slowly our world will end for us
Not with a bang and not with a fuss!
Slowly the sea will reclaim the land
No more, we`ll see, a stretch of gold sand.
Slowly we burned fossil fuels for gain
Factory, engine, power station and plane.
Slowly we moved to correct our excess,
Too late to change the results of success.
Slowly the ice will melt at the poles
Our fault because of those ozone holes!
Slowly the creatures on this earth of ours
Will cease to exist and so will the flowers.
Slowly the patches of brown seen from space
Will all turn to blue, a most beautiful place

Good poem. Shows how our mistakes if harming the environment will slowly do a round turn to saving the environments.
