That sluggishness of the spirit
That constant dulling feeling
That weighs down the mind
And assaults the body organs
That saps on hope and vigor
To cause listlessness of life
And to produce despondency
The hue of lethargy and tedium
The slump of every expectation
To wend the journey of futility
To the purposelessness of life
Without passion or emotion

Sloth, disinclination to action
A deadly sin - spiritual apathy
Loves not, hates not, cares not
Interferes with nothing
Lives for nothing
And dies for nothing
