Slipping, Sliding Poem by Ann Clark

Slipping, Sliding

Rating: 4.3

As I watch the hours pass,
Slipping, Sliding
As I watch my life pass by
Slipping, Sliding
I cannot help but fall,
Slipping, Sliding
And succumb to the will of those who wish for my peril
But to smile as I watch them fall after me,
Slipping, Sliding.

Loved the ending of the poem. Didn't see it coming.

A beautiful train of thoughts well encapsulated into a lovely poem. The essence of poetry is to capture ones thoughts beautifully in few words, you just did that. A nice poem indeed. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
