Sleepless Night Poem by Josephine Chifundo Likoya

Sleepless Night

Rating: 5.0

I still remember that night
All sorts of thoughts came to me
'I should have done this'
'I shouldn't have done that'
Why did i punish myself
Thinking about something that had already been said and done?

Guilty conscience is natural
It makes you feel human
Apology is the only way out
May be i should have said 'sorry'
before i went to sleep
That was the longest night
