Slavery Through Work Poem by Redza Ridzwan

Slavery Through Work

Its you to be enslaved
they want to keep you in work
your work as a cage

they want you to worry about achieving success
when you're out of the line, you fail the test
and they tell you that you can never be the best

they distort the facts
of good and bad
telling you to keep believing them

the test is an illusion because the real test is life
they only rewards they give you are those in sight
which you're gonna lose once you die
and you're gonna regret this, spending your time with weep and cry

so why are you regretting
you got what you want,
the irony is
that you only wanted nothing

you said that you're a free man
but in reality
your life is still narrated by your employer
just like Morgan Freeman

you said you do what you want to do
so why you drag your feets everyday
as if you got something to lose
and walking everyday like i got something else to do

so if you're a slave working for freedom
'freedom' is one that's of your mind just working for you
you don't know what you want
you'll never get it done
