Slave Castles Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Slave Castles

Many of the Castles built in Africa by the Europeans were,
Built for the purpose of their Slave Trade;
So, enter into each one of them in Africa to learn things for yourselves.

'Slave Castles',
Of the history of the African gone by in the hands of the Slave Masters;
But today, the castles are there to attract tourism.

Of the 'Slave Castles' everywhere in Africa to bring fond memories,
With stunning views and what went on in those days to teach many;
And of the history on this issue,
We have to be in the mellow lane like a fellow in the bush.
