Slamming Doors - Poem by Brennan Sprague

A quiet home lit
through windows
by a blue moon
is peaceful.

But the slam of
a door shatters
this stillness and
one is reminded
of the reality of
all things.

Of anger, of regret,
of the passage of time.

Who slams the door?
And who must open it?

    Of anger, of regret,
    of the passage of time.
    Who slams the door?
And who must open it? .... the inner realities disturbs the inner calm and breaks our silence and peace...... very powerfully you have pictured it in simple words. like this poem very much. tony (Report) Reply
