Skylarks

She had fallen in love
with the prince of the sky,
whilst she hatched her eggs
he sang love songs on high.
Fledglings soon soared
crooned farewell to the nest,
such sweet little skylarks
'three of the best'.
These little princesses
soon found love ~ that's why
six more pretty fledglings
fluttered up to the sky.
