Skin Poem by Cindy Christmas

Skin

I Wish Racism Would Die.

I Wish It Would Go Away,

Because Racism Is Like A Disease, And People Make It Stronger Everyday.

Why Are People Hating Each Other, Because Of The Color Of Their Skin?

To Me, Color Ain't Important, Because It's Not How You Look On The Outside, It's About How You Are Within.

Racism Is Worse Than AIDS, And I Wish I Could Do Something About It,

Because To Me, It Seems Like Racism Will Always Be Permanent.

I Really Wish That Racism Would Go Away And Leave Me Alone.

But Racism Is Everywhere, Even In Your Home.

Sometimes People Hate You Because Someone Of Your Color Did Something To Them.

I Really Wish That One Day Racism Would End.

I Don't Want Racism To Be Around Forever,

So Can We At Least Try To Like Each Other?
