Sitting On The Fence Poem by krissi b'williams

Sitting On The Fence

Rating: 5.0

ive been sitting on the fence....each and every day
ever since, we parted ways
i see us so young...a blast from the past
we swore, that we were gonna be the ones who would last
so innocent, so full of love
through 2 youths, eyes, and our open hearts
how we would swear, our love to never die, nor to ever part
look at us now, its was finished before we could start

a blast from the past, oh i need to laugh
we didnt last, each took a different direction down the opposite paths
once so young, full of love and trust
now i realize the carnal yearnings, of misplaced lust
to youngsters with adult sized dreams
and as the old adage goes, nothing is ever as it seems

and here now we sit, facing one and another
one time best friends
one time, intetwined lovers
til we said goobye, let it all end
and after all this time, when it comes to you
even today, as once in our youth
fact or fiction, truth or nonsense
when we were young, was it love
or a indepth passionate lust
never mattered as we sat among, each other, floating above
everyday, ever since
you have me still riding/sitting on the fence
