Sirius Poem by Abraham Sutzkever

Sirius

Blue flickering flames
Near-far splendor
Over the dreaminess
Of gold turquoise
Lucidity
Of latenight!
You, bonfiring
Heavenly composer —
See the heat of my rage,
My word embrace,
In your memory-glow
Seal my face.
