Siren Poem by Andrew Tom

Siren

A beautiful morning
In a beautiful day
Challenging in dismay
My fate finally came

Beneath the deep blue sea
A hand grabbed onto me
Never letting go
I drowned in temptation

This dream I envisioned
As I lay here drowning
Was a beautiful mermaid
Seeking redemption

Her lovely pale face
Touched my soften heart
Sending a desirable lust
Turning my life into dust

Fallen by her spell
In the ocean where I dwell
She serenaded me
With a melody of hell

Alone I fell
In the bottomless oceans
When I opened my eyes
She said goodbye

My heart was yet deceived
Broken in two
I thought I was in love
With a mermaid I never knew
