Sir Gawain And The Maiden Poem by Juan Olivarez

Sir Gawain And The Maiden

High in a tower she hides away,
Lost to the world full of dismay.
In a castle dark, dreaming her dreams,
She's been there forever so it seems.

Looking out from her prison high,
Waiting for Sir Gawain to come riding by.
To rescue her and bear her away,
In this dark tower, she just can't stay.

But Sir Gawain is dead you see,
The evil Black Knight has seen to that.
Her dreams only dreams, will have to be,
Living through dreams can be so sad.
