Sins Of Sand Poem by Jennifer Colyne Hall

Sins Of Sand

The softness of the morning sky beneath me

Eyes drawing nigh

Energy before me

Take it in

She spoke soft

As a kiss on my forehead

Misplace myself

Eyes fluttering like butterflies

Warm slumber- decompress

My hand vanish in coolness

Sins of Sand...

Transgress through my fingers

The perceived coolness of water

Stimulates the smallest extremities

Tiny tree, more voluminous than before

Orange blooms- stunning

I look down

A pocket-sized door

Blazing light flashing

Slamming down

Open the door to your heart

I'm bouncing in and out of my body

My journey complete

Candid eyes

Seeing through tiny slits

Blurred vision

Blackness....

Circles getting smaller
