Sinking Poem by Gabriella Franco

Sinking

sinking.
falling back again
I thought I could avoid you
this time
for the rest of my life?

Falling
crying for assistance
ayuda!
theres no room, no space
for anything but emptiness

giving, giving, giving tree
falls over, falls over on me
everything i have, i give
i. have.
nothing. left.

Sleeping angry
Sleeping loud
finally figured out
no one is here for you
but for themselves
for themselves

i thought
i thought
i thought
i'm broken, a skipping record
never again
never again
never again
rusting what is broken

no medication
just give me love
can i trust? i do.
singular noun. nothing
in the scheme of things
nothing to you

drops of emotion
waterfall
smeared black eyes
never will return to
this damned world

this damned world
this damned world
for no one
you can only trust
the trees

i can only trust
the trees
