Sinking Poem by Ocean Myranda

Sinking

Swimming through the rough current,
Nothing could stop me from diving in without a care,
Loving with all I had,
I took that dare.

“It is better to have loved, than to have never loved at all”,
That saying may be true,
Not for me though,
It is only for you.

The waves move up and down,
Crashing over my head without a sound,
Everything disappearing,
The world around me spins ‘round and ‘round.

Drowning in the pain and suffering,
The tears I shed each night,
Warning me of what I can’t achieve,
I’m sinking out of sight.

Being sucked out of breath, out of life,
Fear, shown in my eye,
One last chance,
I let my last breath out with a sigh.

No one to pull me to safety,
After all it is my fault, that’s not new,
Not that anyone would really care,
The life drawn out of me is turning me blue.

My life flashes before my eyes,
Not the future, but the past,
No one to love, no one to love me,
I watch the breath, which is my last.

Sinking down into the ocean,
Nothing to gain or lose,
Death surrounds me,
No one could figure out the clues.

Goodbye all, hope you will remember me,
Drowning in the wave,
Death gripping my hand,
Sinking, my last breath I gave.
