Singularity Poem by Shreya Jani

Singularity

Rating: 5.0

I loved you when there was no matter
When there was no space or time

Then time was born
and I promised to love you every second
that to many seconds make a year
love will have to be defined for each of them
I found our stories for each one of them

Matter came into existence
and we where separated
there was you and suddenly there was a me
I could look at you for the first time and
I loved you then still

Space came and we started to drift
the galaxies where created and destroyed
we expanded and grew apart
rapidly moving away acknowledging distance
longing and yearning entered the vocabulary of love

now I seek singularity
where our love resided
when there was nothing
no you or me separate apart and adrift
I seek love without the conditions of space time or matter
when love was the only reality
I loved you then can I love you still?

The time was born! And love was made; but, things turned around. Nice piece.
