Sing To The Lord

How foolish are the worldly wise
In shame they sing the devil’s lies
Sharing his wine his rotten bread
Chanting his songs whilst walking dead

To glorify God’s name in praise
The truth is taught since ancient days
God gave to man His songs to sing
To soar above on eagle’s wing

Lift joyful hearts sing out in love
Let praise arise upon The Dove
Heaven and earth will take delight
When God receives love songs in flight

Heaven’s angels may never sing
Songs of Zion to God The King
Only redeemed may thus rejoice
So lift your head and raise your voice

Look neither left nor to the right
Singing in love with all your might
Sing as you walk our Groom to greet
Sing to God at Jesus’ feet

Sing out long or just a while
Let all we sing bring God a smile
His blessings surely fill the earth
So sing in Christ for all you’re worth

Let every child of God by choice
Lift high your heads and raise your voice
Alone in truth let voices ring
For only truth will please our King

So heed each song you choose to rise
Be faithful true and always wise
With heart and soul give praise today
God’s singer of songs won’t see decay
