Sing A Song Of Six Spence Rewrite Poem by Ramona Thompson

Sing A Song Of Six Spence Rewrite

Sing a song of sixpence
A pocketful of rye
Four-and-twenty blackbirds
Were baked in a pie!

When the pie was opened
The birds begin to sing!
Was't that a dainty dish
To set before the king?

The original Mother Goose Song above, my rewrite of the above is below.

Six sneaked under a border fence
Each had to bargain with only a pocketful of rye
Four-and-twenty jailbirds came walking along
Twisted, hungry cannibals were they one and all
Beat down and stuffed each of our immigrant hereos in a pie

When the human filled pie was opened
Our hereos let loose with a swine flu swing
Was't that a sickening poetry dish served nice and hot
Enough to make you wanna call me your poetic queen?
