Simple Food Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Poetry is simple food
As nutrition and protein to be good
The vitamins keep body fit and fresh
So one finds day with fine finish

Not all people can write
Express ideas and delight
It is heavenly blessings and gift
The ideas float smoothly and swiftly

I find it difficult and hard way
When it passes sans poems in a day
It has become now day's routine
Poem or two in a day looks very fine

No preparation is made for certain plot
It flows from mind and is placed in slot
No effort is made for its composition
It comes out constant from no where position

I see it not as craze
As smokers need tense free face
Poets too need something to emit
Philosophical out burst or delightful prompt

Ideas flow like river water
Smooth and zigzag as path alter
Yet it gives clear picture and reflection
Of society, nation and worldwide action

What would have happened if I had no hobby?
The later age might have proved completely shaky
It could have turned into idle man's workshop
Total failure or break down with full stop

I float in a vintage ship
That is only option to keep
The body and mind in perfect alignment
The path necessary for enlightenment
