Silver Winter Poem by Andrus Cassian

Silver Winter

Dear angel of mine; my dearest heart's desire; lover dearest
an opening for a different someone
for the name in my heart
is different from the picture my dreams present
I long for it to be you at least so I know my dreams are true
I long for it to be you
to claim you as my Juliet
to claim you as my white, shining rose
to say you are my abundant source of happiness
to savor your kiss
claim your love as my life and light
soon ask you to be my lovely wife
for you are my source of inspiration
the lyrics to my divertimento
but you are fiction or so it seems
You are fiction or so it seems
for perceptibility has succeeded in deceiving
eyeless, amaurotic to know of your existence
Are you a castle in the air, a vagary
or am I a victim of the incident of coincidence
Pink, the only color to remind me of you
a lighter shade of purple pride ad royalty
Pink, the ribbon I wear in search of you
April, since April I have conducted my search to find
but I am a key in snow
a limerick lost in the crowd of haikus
slowly shrouding me in the nature of night
while I could swear on a stack of everything I love
I saw an image of you as something bright
camouflaged you from me
Bailey! ! ! !
Bailey...the only name I could think to give
for it's the only name I heard when I saw you last
Bailey? ? ? Bailey...
please, perceptibility don't deceive me
vagary, castle in the air
are you trapped within it
can you get out, if not I'll help you somehow
...You are fiction, well so it seems...
...Bailey...
how are you so real to me...
...Bailey...
you turned my copper Spring into a silver Winter
but left in a silent whisper
or has it all just been an illusion
sent by the red raven of the river under the white tree
the image, it couldn't be; still sketched heavily
resembling heaven...no...
The name in my heart is different from the picture my dreams present
I long for it to be you...at least so I know my dreams are true
Cause you are real to me
but am I real to you...
Have you dreamt of me too...
...Bailey...
