Silver Moon Poem by Bill Simmons

Silver Moon

Rating: 5.0

Silver moon silver moon
Stately in the sky
When the stars fade away
When comes the morning light

Will you take away, as another day
And another night passes away
The loneliness that surrounds me
Take away the tears I cry

May you take away through another day
May I forget where I’ve been
Till you return to remind me
And the emptyness returns again

May I live through the day
And oh how I want to live
Until I see you silver moon
And know its time for tears to give

Loneliness surrounds me
Silver moon you have bound me
But through the day, just let me live
Until the night when you have found me

Silver moon silver moon
As another night it passes by
Allow me through the day to live
And forget through the nights I’ve cried.
