Silver And Gold Poem by Ishtar Trismegistus

Silver And Gold

Rating: 3.8

I am just a silver, and you are gold.
You are a fiery star, while I am cold.
You warm humans, and I make them shiver.
You give them comfort, while I give them fever.

You are the center of the galaxies,
An enormous ball of red fantasies.
Like an insect attracted to the light,
I am drawn to your magnificent sight.

You rise in the east and set in the west;
I undergo phases to be my best.
You show up, and it’s a very good day,
If I don’t, the sky is darker than gray.

During dawn your glorious rays hit the earth,
Like, it’s giving it some kind of rebirth;
As you kiss the seas goodbye in twilight,
I will slowly rise, and will shine so bright.

You are a hundred ways better than I,
That’s why I adore you up in the sky;
Watching you from thousands of miles away,
Between planets, meteors in Milky Way.

I arrange our names in constellations
That can be seen through out every nation.
Oh, how I wish we could be together,
Side by side, the same orbit forever.

I yearn for the moment of our meeting,
Two celestial bodies are aligning.
It happens only once or twice a year,
At least I could see you pretty and clear.

White as the roses that grows in the spring,
The angels of God will come out and sing.
When finally it’s time to become one;
A total eclipse of the moon and sun.

Beautiful train of thoughts, well articulated and insightfully penned with conviction. A lovely depiction of romantic relationship between the moon - Earth's satellite and the Sun. Thanks for sharing Ishtar. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
