Silly Goodbye Poem by Adens Kamwi

Silly Goodbye

Did you see love happen
Or did you walk past it
Waving your hand in a silly goodbye
Passing it without a try
Now you sit there lonely
Begging life for mercy
You feel it pass you by
Even your eyes refuse to cry
But when you saw love you walked by
Waving your hand in a silly goodbye
Growing tired of giving it a try
Seeing it grow and quickly die
But even then when it's alive
You too feel alive
A simple breath makes you high
A simple touch makes you smile
Then it dies and so do you
Wondering around without a clue
Past the corner down the street
Step by step with burning feet
Then you see love, will you try?
Or do you wave in a silly goodbye?
