Silent Reminders Poem by Manonton Dalan

Silent Reminders

a fortress atop a hill
covered with vegetation
bricks turning to dust
contained by green moss
still life still beating
on thick walls for so long

where are hoaves marching
screaming pain, piercing
sudsiding echoes of tears
falling not to be seen again
for eyes dried; terrible pain
love to be free is everything
