Silent Promises Poem by Sujeet Kumar Vishwakarma

Silent Promises

When life is a war,
That's not meant to end.
Our heart plays its part,
And begins to bend.

Starts befriending people,
And Places on the way.
And makes Silent Promises,
To Never go away.

With war at hand,
we seldom feel the change.
when the people we knew,
Go beyond our range.

When reaching out to them,
Means opting to lose.
You either kill the Silent Promise,
Or failures you chose.

When we all are in here,
Playing our roles.
Fighting our enemies,
standing in Paroles.

We might eventually end up winning,
And reaching on the heights,
But inside we have lost a war,
that heart never fails to fight.

We lose a part of our own being,
The part we loved the most.
A heart that made a silent promise,
A life unlived and lost.
