Silence Seeking: Writer's Hitting Concrete Noise Walls

Rating: 4.9

running headlong into noise concrete walls
running bounce bang bumps on head into concrete walls
dropping bumps on head stopping writing

is bumps on head noise cursed writer with no quiet
silent place to write writer's silence seeking

Sublime and abstract. Enjoyed the alliteration. Some fine muse here, the need for peace and quiet for writing. Thumbs up. So Nice to read from your pen again, I hope u too will review my latest poem titled, 'For all cheese chums'

I guess it's kinda like the marathon runner who hits a wall and can't go any further. That happened to me on the Grand Canyon. Guess what I did. I meditated. And what a transformation! Same thing with the writing. If I get writer's block, I meditate. And it's amazing what happens afterwards. Great poem. Really enjoyed it. Off to find the other one you mentioned.

Brilliant word choice, Terry. There's a halting, methodical reading created by the diction. As I read, it immediately takes me into the creative process, that deliberate, mesmerizing pace.quality that defines creativity. Brilliant!

The importance of silence for the creative flow to emerge...the walls, the noise, the concrete walls...the spasmodic rhythm of words, create a cadence that matches the speaker's intention. Great poem.
