Silence Is Sometimes Better Poem by Nathan Downing

Silence Is Sometimes Better

Rating: 5.0

It seems so absurd that patriot's a dirty word,
In a country with heroes on parade.
It seems so absurd that loves become a dirty word,
Because it's used when emotion begins to fade.

When words lose feeling
They also lose meaning,
When words are overused
They become a privilege abused.

Feel the words you say
Mean the words you say
Say only when you mean,
And make the words you say,
Count today.
