Silence Is Not Golden Poem by Ravi Upadhye

Silence Is Not Golden

So much to share,
So much to talk
Talking to walls and windows,
How would they know my joy and sorrows?

Entering into an empty house
Punctuated by your omnipresent footsteps
Immersed in silence
Being chased by your absence

Come back soon
Precious moments of togetherness are slipping away
Into frustrating wilderness
