Silence Poem by Tosin Olaniyan

Silence

I peeped through that hole,
And watched him in awe
I could not feel my legs
I lost my innocence right there.

Blood flowing down her beautiful face
Her pretty lips were battered
She was gasping loudly
I knew she was taking her last breath.

I turned to help her
Hoping it wasn't too late
But she had gone to the heavens
With a smile on her face

Baba mi
My priceless gift
Turned into a monster
And made iya mi a ghost

Love isn't for me
My heart died alongside,
Baba mi
Made iya mi a ghost.
