Silence! Poem by Lora Colon

Silence!

Rating: 5.0

Be silent just a moment, my love,
I heard your call.... our hearts are in tune,
Like the moth that can't resist the flame,
I'll come to you.... faithful as the moon

Be silent just a while, my dear one,
I am with you now, please, not a word,
As my lips fall upon your sweet lips,
It's your sigh that longs to be heard

Just a moment of silence, beloved,
Listen to the ramblings of my heart,
Beating like a thunderous jungle drum,
With a message it longs to impart

No, not yet, love, there's no need for words,
Let us unveil passion with our hands,
Satisfying love's desires with touch,
Like flood tides calming the burning sands

Let the silence linger, my darling,
Glad and thankful, we must ponder this,
A blessed gift of love sent to us,
Tied with ribbons of rapture and bliss

Not a word from you, judging angels,
There is no need for reprimand,
This love, most precious and undefiled,
Was given to us by God's own hand!

There are times that silence can be beautiful, you found the moment brilliantly here.
