Silence Poem by Daisy Pereira

Silence

Rating: 5.0

In this silence
you are so unfamiliar to me.
The words
the symbols
the hues of autumn skies
the saddest evenings
which we shared together once
even in a distance
has become so unfamiliar to me
so indistinguishable
in this hollow darkness..

Why don't you look up
into the sky
the unfathomable
studded with blue diamonds
beaded with dew drops

Heaviest of hearts
droops dead in silence
why don't you watch this night
touch the sweetest breeze
on the dreamy leaves
why don't you feel you
in this weary night
when the wailing moon
clutches her bursting heart.
