Silence Poem by Danette Frenz

Silence

The silence of your voice fills me with dread.
I think of all the things I wish I had said.
I’m sorry, I miss you, are you okay?
I wish I could tell you that today and every day.
I let out a sigh,
Wish I could say goodbye, I’ll try
To move forward, but why-why
Does it hurt so much?
Never to feel your touch?
It will be okay…tomorrow’s another day.
