Silence



We came into the world without a care
Opened our eyes and we were here

Our mothers arms comforted us to some degree

Not a care at all
We didn't have to call

Grew to think this would be that way
Only to learn that we couldn't have our say

The comfort of my mother's arms could stand the test of time

We never knew what was true
She didn't have a clue as what to do

You see, she had been silenced, too...
