Silence can be empty
or fill a glorious night.
Silence can be lonely
or awaken strange delight.

Its noiseless peace surrounds us
and gives us time to think.
Its quietness brings forth
our soul which is our link

To every sound we've ever heard,
To every tone that has occurred,
To every cry that's come your way,
To every laugh that's filled your day.

So welcome all the silent times
that come when you're alone.
For it's the closest you can be
to all you've ever known.
