Sidi Poem by Lamia Khalifa7

Sidi

Sidi
We waled and walked and walked some more
Seven wounded and me outside your door
We come in pieces seeking peace
Sidi do you hear us plead
Sidi sidi sidi

Sidi
replace our silent screams
inside our broken dreams
restore our road to light
for us travelers of this night
Sidi sidi sidi

Sidi
Allow the words we will never write
to be sung in peace to the drums of your light
Forgive our songs of shame injustice and defeat
Sidi we are here at your feet
Sidi sidi sidi

Sidi
Replace our silent screams
inside our broken dreams
Restore our road to light
for us travelers of this night
Sidi sidi sidi

Sidi
under the spell of demons fell our lands
No flowers blooming in our ancient sands
No mountains moved they still stand tall
no singing children no justice for all
Sidi sidi sidi

Sidi
Salvation lies on glass shrinesof our shattered souls and our aging lines
All our frozen souls through razer gates taken to your light
In the rhythm of this night our souls were lifted
Sidi sidi sidi
