Showing You Something That Is Real Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Showing You Something That Is Real

Heard you say
I shouldn't be with someone
but what slips off your tongue
hurts like hell you don't know
Anything of what you've talking about
Please stop expressing unwanted doubts

but, i'm
living in a very shallow world
everyone want for someone right
somethings wrong with your sight
You love what you can only see
without knowing the true beauty
of what's behind the statue
Somehow If you only knew

I'm showing you something that is real
it goes beyond what you obviously feel

so amazing to have found a love
the kind that even you think of
what you dream can materialize
If you just wakeup and realize
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
Apply some heat to your cold shoulder
