Show Your True Colours Poem by Richard Sockett

Show Your True Colours

Sheffield City is a great place to be
Hillsborough devotees in blue and white as far as the eye can see
Ozzie and Barney Owl entertain the kids
Wednesday's Barmy Army gets behind the clubs promotion bids

Young and old we all pack the stands
Owls flying high in Gary Megson's safe hands
United versus Wednesday is an all important clash
Running riot all over our rivals, throw them out with the trash

True blue and proud let our voices fill the air
Rip roaring excitement lifts you off your chair
Unending support its Wednesday til I die
Energy levels topped up with a meat and potato pie

Crowds at Hillsborough are the biggest in league one
Onwards and upwards the bad old days have gone
Lets leave our rivals shaking in their boots
Our fans go wild when goal machine Gary Madine shoots
Up for the cup the lads go all out for a win
Resounding victory after victory fans go home happy with a grin
Sing out for the boys in blue, Sheffielders proud and true
