Shipwrecked Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Shipwrecked

'Life is shipwreck' (Jose Ortega y Gasset,
Spanish philosopher,1883-1955)

Shipwrecked, he did not know
The beating of the waters was absurd.
He only knew
There was nothing, not a stake
In all that drowning strangeness
To tether his purpose.
