Shipbound Romances - Transformational Changes Poem by Terence George Craddock

Shipbound Romances - Transformational Changes

Rating: 4.8

is it time confined in box like cubicles
prisoners in past memories future expectations...
which in setting space constricted sets
stage for rhythmic ocean voyage romances...

rhythmic waves in ship sliced passages passing
red stretched sinking sunset sun silent slipping...
into sight vast depth ocean circumference horizons
potentially potently couples complete strangers...

sought out conversations with complete strangers
in voyage settings strips us of solid inhibitions...
dissolves imposed land laden seamless social rules
nature hypnotises in noose power over our moods...

let us dissect star crossed ship board romances
love quick step targets random flung together couples...
love stalks moments mindless likely unlikely hearts
love class age irrespective may strike smite stalks...

love appalling slays people falling in voyage romances
right left centre hit cupid rapid darting passage victims...
suddenly inseparable in thoughts desires emotive needs
unless sudden motion sickness vomiting over ocean rails...

This poem reminds me of the television series The Love Boat. A nice piece. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
