Shed Your Tears Poem by Dorsey Baker

Shed Your Tears

Rating: 4.5

They say a man aint a man
if he let tears
come into his eyes
but sometimes its so hard
to stop the tears
before they fall
But I say a man is still a man
even if he cries

You're alive and you aint dead
so sometimes briny
tears you are gonna shed
Life is life
and no matter how weak
it might appear
don't you be ashamed
of your tears
No man is without emotions
no man is without fears
Shed your tears!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Well, Dorsey, your first comment (unless someone else hits the 'send' key before I do) , is from today's Member Poet of the Day- - Me! Taking a break from reading my comments, in order to read the poems of others. Real men DO cry- - usually privately, so that they can save face in public. I would be concerned if a man never cried, because a heart of stone is exactly what you'd find in a cold-blooded murderer. Beware of men who never cry, and keep those waterworks coming! :)
