She Walks In Silence
1. She walks in silence, like the pond
of glass-like top and hidden angst;
And all that's true and false will bond-
will join with joy and pain and thanks:
Thus mingled yet combined in fond
and ever there amongst the ranks.
2. One way to scare, on way to save
this typified the wordless star
Which shines in every carmine wave,
or surfaces serene to mar;
Where never ventured starts to brave
the ever jaded from afar.
3. And in those eyes and language none
it's understood, though safe and pent:
the ripples have come in and gone
yet still I read zeal eloquent-
Though hidden, likewise hope I've won
a heart whose words are never spent!
