She Makes Them Bleed Poem by Serena Constance Grobler

She Makes Them Bleed

Being an individual
Always being just me
Seeing those that ridicule
And still I feel at ease

I know who I am
I know what I want
I know I live my life for me
Your opinions don’t count
Test me, tease me, try your best
But I am not bound by society
I am not obligated by tests

But at times I feel judged
I am ruled
By one who cares
But at times she is cruel
She cares when it counts
When others will see
Yet behind their backs
She makes them bleed
