She Lays Me Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

She Lays Me

Hallways as empty as tombs
Bells of black silk
Barren birch tree
Twisted sacrosanct candles
Voices in the mirror
Succubus tongue
Is it you my dark hope
Have you come like a prison
Legion of wolf eyes
Hands folded in your coffin

Wind like witch whisperings
Leaves on the ground
Dry sacrifice
Summer is over forever
Will you haunt me forever?
I fear the moon
Punished and banished
Branded by fallen kisses
Do ghosts make love?
She lays me in the stars
