She Is Married To A Much Older Fellow Poem by Francis Duggan

She Is Married To A Much Older Fellow

She is married to a much older fellow a three score and ten years old man
He is forty five years her senior in time that is a lengthy span
'Tis not for love that him she married though in marrying him she has brought him happiness
He is a very wealthy sugar daddy money never does fail to impress
She is quite a beautiful woman and when they walk out hand in hand
That he does have a proud look about him is not that hard to understand
The single young blokes of the town jealous of him such is life as some are known to say
And if money to her than love more important that also does seem quite okay
Carrying his child she is heavily pregnant the child never will know of poverty
To be born to a wealthy sugar daddy is fortunate as most would agree
Were she married for love to a young battling fellow she would struggle for to make ends meet
She lives in a beautiful two storey dwelling and any poor do not live on her street
It is not for love she is married to one who cloaks in brown dye his gray
As some say money speaks every language and in her case it does seem that way.
