SHE HAUNTED GARDENS:

I

She haunted gardens to excite seeds
Shape trees and chambers that forest
And appear as veins striped in weeds
Preparatory rooms full behind hills
Plowed to create erotic green in fields
Passionate limbs to hold onto hung
She let go drawing swarms to red ripe
Lips of lure opening asking for kisses
She was the beginning and end of
Fields –she breathed nostalgic forever
Apologetic –she found space in space

II

For more legroom –she looked for it all
To spread lust knowing she would make
Love from the beginning to end of feel
Before flowering –the seasons before
Heat enflamed to burn enraging desire
Destiny wrapped around insignificance
Though unmeasured in consequent pain
Before glacial separation from liquid
Nitrogen bleeding to watery rain before
Woman - the girl with explicit tone
Thigh and color aroused to brown with
Firmness of breast and buttock crowns

III

Feeding first black pitch three-fifths
Holy Spirit dripping down –black bags
Will hold throughout children’s passage
Through customs –for generations the
Burden in the home where the nest is
Attended to –why did men of Europe so
Indentured feel to sense how far the nest
Distant and near the gym - home sends
The shepherd for the wild thing alone

IV

Rivers turn to seas where we came from
Were we rock there at the garden’s end?
Wrest away loss unaccounted poundage
As love sandwiched by Europe’s indentured
Moral decay –hope configured as given away
New rivers take away waste of pitch and the
Nonsense of the misunderstood oxymoron
Leave behind the dry beds of conscious time

V

Dead –forgotten bags of flesh and bone - she
Lifts oceans up as sky - Holy Spirit cannot die
How would I know to experience goddesses?
Before so lush imaginary things as ghetto girls
With desire burning and flames lighting the
Prurient minds seen as adventurous flings
She is life as she and it is forever bet upon
Garden poor black Jew babes need to care for.

poet William Wordsworth

I

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
