Shallow Eyes Poem by Adam M Snow

Shallow Eyes

Shallow Eyes
By: Adam M. Snow

Look beneath my shallow eyes,
upon my soul for which you despise,
your tainted hands upon my chest,
broken dreams, it failed the test.
Hearts pounding, skipping a beat,
tormented lies, sorrowful heat,
worlds passing one by one,
alone, wishing to be undone.
I be a vision of a ghost,
look right through me as you boast.
Wasting days in solitude,
alone, never meant to intrude.
As I cry my tears in vain,
you ignore my one true pain,
I suppose I am to blame,
yet you say, I've brought shame.
