Shall You Rise Oh Patriots Poem by oio ZIGA

Shall You Rise Oh Patriots

Rating: 2.5

When shall the Patriots rise
For the Heroes days as of the Prophets is long stale.
The eagle's wings are clipped
The horses speed has slowed.
Your white is gray
Your green is foul
Traitors mocks the peoples' alter.
When will I see you again,
Thou days of glory.
When shall the future of yesterday's youth come today?
As the brave lay a waste
And wombs dried of hope.
The skies are turning blood red
The trees are bled of life.
And the hopeless birds of our skies want for shelter.
When shall you arise oh patriots?
For darkness sweeps the land with swift death
And the thread of frail unity snaps in a tick tock tango.
